“We don’t really have a set strategy, and we don’t have a defined guiding principle. We have green blood running through our veins at Tscherning, and when things click in just the right way and we meet passionate people with a great idea, that’s when we invest,” explains Søren Tscherning.

Focus on the circular transition

The investments cover a wide range—from large-scale waste management to the development of renewable building materials. The common thread is the desire to reduce the industry’s environmental footprint and promote direct reuse.

“We’re driven by the desire to support those with ideas—those who dare to think a little bigger, perhaps even a little impractically. After all, it’s annoying that we have to change things, but we’ve picked up many bad habits in the construction industry that we need to do away with,” says Søren Tscherning.

That is why Tscherning primary goal is to invest in order to learn from these ideas, support those who dare to think differently, and steer the construction industry toward a more sustainable future.
