Tscherning's headquarters, renovated with 89% recycled and reused materials, is the winner of Building of the Year 2024.

Once again, Tscherning's headquarters in Hedehusene is sprinkled with stardust. Tscherninghuset has just won Building of the Year 2024 in the 'Business' category.

The award was founded by Magasinet Byggeri and has been awarded since 1997. It is awarded to the year's best and most important buildings based on their social and construction-related significance.

This is the fourth award in a row that Tscherninghuset has received since the renovation was completed in April 2024. Earlier this year, CEO Søren Tscherning received the Renovation Award, the Sustainable Element Award at Building Green and Høje Taastrup Municipality's Green Business Award, and Tscherninghuset was nominated for 'City's Best 2024' in Berlingske in the 'architecture' category based on a five-star review.

The many recognitions make an impression on CEO Søren Tscherning.

- Creating a recycled house has been a wild and educational process and I'm incredibly happy with the recognition we've received. It would not have been possible without architect My Lunsjö from 3XN GXN. We challenged each other along the way, because it's a difficult task to design a large house from materials we haven't necessarily found yet. But fortunately, she was up for the challenge and it has resulted in an inspiring, but also homely headquarters that my employees and I are incredibly happy with. Therefore, a big thank you to both My and all our other partners," says Søren Tscherning.
