Tscherninghuset: Renovated with 89% recycling

The vision is to create a building that shows Tscherning's commitment to promoting circular economy, green transition, and the best workplace.

When the renovation of the Tscherning Group's headquarters began in 2022, the goal was to implement a circular transformation, with maximum reuse and upcycling of materials and furnishings.

The transformation of the 1700 m2 building has now been completed with almost 90% recycled and reused materials, and all furniture except AV/IT equipment is either directly recycled and/or upcycled responsible products.

The realization of the ambitious circular vision has been a close collaboration between client Søren Tscherning and architect My Lunsjö from 3XN GXN.

In addition, a number of dedicated and creative builders and suppliers have contributed unique solutions and upcycled fixtures, while Tscherning's own demolition departments have supplied a large part of the recycled building materials.

The result is a 'recycled house' where employees have a unique and homely working environment, and where a patchwork of materials, plants and colors both motivates and inspires.
